{"id":3039,"date":"2020-05-17T21:13:56","date_gmt":"2020-05-17T19:13:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites2.org.aalto.fi\/medialabdemodays_old\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=3039"},"modified":"2020-11-27T20:46:47","modified_gmt":"2020-11-27T18:46:47","slug":"demoscene-cultural-heritage","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/sites2.org.aalto.fi\/medialabdemodays_old\/projects\/demoscene-cultural-heritage\/","title":{"rendered":"Demoscene &#038; Cultural Heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h1>Demoscene &amp; Cultural Heritage<\/h1>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3236&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">demoscene<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is an international community focused on the creation of <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">demos<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, creative real-time <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">audio-visual<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> presentations that combine <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ski<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lfully<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> crafted software, graphics and audio<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">In April 2020 the Ministry of Education and Culture of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ficially <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ad<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ed<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">demoscene<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> to the national inventory of<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">living heritage.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> The Finnish effort was part of the larger <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Art of Coding<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> project, which aims to get the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">demoscene<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> r<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ecognized by <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">UNESCO as world cultural heritage.
